About the Role

The Corporate Communications Senior Manager is responsible for helping to articulate, share and promote ITT’s culture, mission, values and strategy to our global employees as well as other internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the VP, Global Communications, s/he will be responsible for developing and executing global communications strategies that drive employee engagement and forge stronger alignment with the company’s direction. This growth role will provide opportunities for a highly motivated, driven individual who desires a leadership career in Communications.

Responsibilities
• Support ITT’s brand and reputation management through high-level strategic counsel and hands-on execution
• Create and manage ITT’s integrated employee communications strategy including evaluating and building upon existing vehicles, building the internal communications roadmap, executing & measuring impact
• Plan, edit and write content for various communications mediums including global intranet, shop floor and other non-email-based communications; support content for corporate website and social media channels
• Counsel business leaders across the enterprise leveraging communications to achieve tangible business results
• Manage global communications and leader events (e.g., Town Halls, higher performance culture workshops, global company awards)
• Develop and implement initiatives to make ITT Inc. an employer of choice and support the business in attracting and retaining top talent
• Support issues and crisis management communications
• Establish metrics, track progress and develop tools to support effective communication and drive efficiencies, i.e., cataloging communication efforts into repeatable templates for use in future projects; synthesizing strategy into a framework the team can leverage going forward

Key Skills
• Writing and Presentation: Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and presentation skills
• Storytelling Acumen: Journalistic ability to cull stories from a variety of sources; relay them reflecting a diversity of voices to a range of audiences
• Interpersonal and Coaching: People-focused. Strong collaboration, interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Digital: Well-versed in digital, video and new media communications channels
• Visual Communications: knowledge and use of Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, a plus


Qualifications:
• 7+ years of relevant work experience in a communications team, especially internal communication, for publicly traded or large organization
• BA/BS undergraduate degree in journalism, communications or marketing preferred
• Prior management of large-scale projects and change management experience, preferred
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Experience working with and influencing leadership
• Strategic thinker who is service-oriented, dynamic, personable and culturally sensitive
• Expert in creative problem solving, resourceful and solutions-oriented
• Affinity to building and evolving. We are a “roll up our sleeves” team
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
